SCANIA P420 XT 8×4 Wilcox Insulated Tipper
The Scania P420 XT 8×4 Kel-Berg Insulated Tipper is purpose-built for transporting aggregates and asphalt, where maintaining material temperature is critical. The 8×4 configuration with tandem drive axles and differential lock provides the traction needed for demanding on and off-road work.
At the heart of the chassis is Scania’s 13 L Super engine producing 420 hp and 2,300 Nm of torque. The “Super” designation refers to Scania’s latest powertrain platform, delivering improved fuel efficiency. The G25CM Opticruise 14-speed automatic gearbox includes Economy, Standard and Off-Road driving modes, with a crawler gear for low-speed site work and overdrive for more efficient motorway running.
The CP20N sleeper cab is equipped with Scania’s XT package, designed specifically for construction environments. This includes a protruding bumper for improved approach angle, headlamp protection grilles, wipe-clean vinyl interior, rubber floor mats and an in-cab compressed air gun, and single bunk. The cab features a 12.9″ touchscreen with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, sat nav, and the full GSR 2024 safety package.
On the back is a 16.7 m³ Wilcox insulated tipper body built to Kel-Berg specification. The sides are insulated with Dritherm cavity slab sandwiched between aluminium panels, while the headboard, tailgate and underfloor feature air-gap insulation to retain heat during transport.
