Kel-Berg Trailers & Trucks Ltd – January Week 1 + 2 - Deliveries and Activities
Here at Kel-Berg, we have certainly hit the ground running this year. We have delivered several vehicles to our customers throughout the first half of January; including several Kel-Berg grab loader and tipper installations and a number of our renowned T100 aggregate trailers. See below details on some of the equipment we have supplied to our new and existing customers from up and down the UK.
Bedrock Plant Hire Ltd:
Bedrock Plant Hire Ltd, based in Glasgow, has been a customer of ours for many years. We have supplied a number of vehicles to Bedrock to aid in the modernisation of their fleet. This month we have supplied them with a new Kel-Berg grab loader installation, fitted to their Scania G410 XT 8x4 chassis. It is quite the build.
The installation is comprised of a Kel-Berg grab loader body, a Palfinger Epsilon M125 classic crane with a Kinshofer clamshell bucket, Edbro TS underfloor tipping RAM, and our signature bolt-together galvanised sub-frame. Additional items fitted include:
· Mirror Guards + Marker Lights · Kelsa Light Bar · HMF Lever Sequence Change · LED Lamps · Work Lamps
|
· 4-Way Camera System · Transcover Flip Sheet · Air Flow Kit · Wacker Stand |
This vehicle along with several other new pieces of equipment supplied to Bedrock will be out on utility contracts for Scottish Water. It’s also for the continued expansion and modernisation of their fleet.
Brambles Haulage Ltd:
Brambles Haulage Ltd, based in Sutton Coldfield, took delivery of a new Kel-Berg insulated tipper installation. Brambles brought in their existing 2018 DAF CF450 8x4 chassis for the new install.
The build is comprised of a Wilcox aluminium insulated body and Hyva RAM. Additional items fitted include:
· Dawbarn Hydroclear Sheet |
· VPG Weigh System |
Robert Hobster, director at Brambles Haulage, previously had a Liebherr mixer installation on the chassis which he had from new. Due to a change in his requirements, Robert opted to change the installation to an insulated tipper. He went for this due to the availability of a Wilcox insulated tipper installation and his familiarity with Ronnie and Kel-Berg.
Although insulated tippers are typically used to transport tarmac, Robert will be using this vehicle on building merchant contracts. This is because of the body’s design, with rear tar hatches and chutes, and the fact it was available now.
Daneways Ltd:
Daneways Ltd, based in Dudley, took delivery of another Kel-Berg grab loader installation fitted to their DAF CF450 8x4 chassis. Daneways are a surfacing and construction company that provide their services to a number of contractors great and small across the UK.
Additional items fitted to this vehicle include:
· Beacon Bar · Front & Rear Strobes · 4 Way Camera System + Side Scan |
· Toolbox · Tow bar · Wacker Stand |
Daneways required this vehicle due to an increase in work as a result of additional contracts received in the Birmingham area. It’s also for the continued expansion of their ever-growing fleet of vehicles.
Doocey Group:
Doocey Civil Engineering Ltd took delivery of two new Kel-Berg grab loader installations fitted to Scania P410 XT 8x4 chassis’. The Doocey Group provides many services to its customers including civil engineering, utilities, traffic management, recycling, drilling and commissioning.
Additional items fitted to these vehicles:
· Beacon Bar · Front & Rear Strobes · 4 Way Camera System + Side Scan |
· Toolbox · Tow bar · Wacker Stand |
CJ Hurford & Sons:
CJ Hurford and & Sons, based in Winford, took delivery of a new Kel-Berg T100 aluminium aggregate trailer. Hurford is an independent haulage company that has been operating since 2003.
Chris Hurford, the company’s managing director, said the trailer will be going on contracts for Tarmac, hauling aggregates and asphalt for their concrete plants. Historically, Chris has operated a fleet of 6 and 8 wheeler tippers so the T100 is a new venture for them. This is the first time Chris has dealt with Kel-Berg and Simon.
He said he went for the T100 because he liked the design and had been told that it’s lightweight and durable, a great solution for the type of work they are doing. Kel-Berg was recommended to Chris by his colleagues in the industry.
