D L Miller Haulage concrete the North East with a new DAF 8x4 Mixer

Breedon Franchisee, D L Miller Haulage Ltd, continues the renewal of their fleet with a new Kel-Berg Mixer.

D L Miller Haulage Ltd is a family owned concrete and aggregate haulage firm based in the North East. Owned by Daniel Miller, the company is a Breedon franchisee that has been delivering concrete and aggregate from Northumberland to County Durham and the surrounding areas for over 25 years.

Daniel operates a fleet of four vehicles, three mixers and an aluminium tipper, which are all mounted on DAF chassis’. One of his mixers had reached the stage in its life where it was in the workshop more often than not and so the time came for a new truck.

Miller’s latest truck is a Kel-Berg 8m³ concrete mixer installation fitted to a DAF CF450 8x4
chassis. He additionally speced Alcoa aluminium wheels, strobe lights and a single view reverse camera. Primarily the equipment will be used to transport brick mortar to various housing projects for firms such as Persimmon Homes.

“The equipment is certainly competitive. The 8m³ drum is a good size and is an improvement on the original 2nd hand Kel-Berg mixer I bought in October” said Miller. “That’s how I built rapport with the company, through the parts shop … so I’ve known Kel-Berg for a while”. “So both really, the equipment was available and the service I received was good … I would definitely recommend Kel-Berg”.
